AFRAC 16th General Assembly in Uganda Now Underway
The 16th African Accreditation Cooperation (AFRAC) General Assembly and Meetings officially started on 22nd September 2025 at the Imperial Resort Beach Entebbe.

Hosted by the Uganda National Accreditation Service (UGANAS), the assembly has brought together delegates from across Africa to discuss quality infrastructure, standards, accreditation, and regional cooperation.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives alongside AFRAC leadership.

Technical committees, working groups, and sub-committees have been meeting to review key documents, share best practices, and plan the way forward for Africa’s accreditation systems.

The event will run until 27th September 2025, with the General Assembly and AFRAC Gala Dinner set to conclude the program.
